The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) plays a key role in delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an outpatient oncology and infusion center setting. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN), Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), or provider, the LPN performs clinical and administrative tasks within the scope of supportive and restorative care. This includes health education, medication administration, specimen collection, and assisting with procedures. The LPN contributes to all phases of the nursing process and ensures safe, efficient care delivery.
Responsibilities
Deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care in an outpatient oncology and infusion setting.
Perform clinical and administrative tasks within the scope of supportive and restorative care.
Provide health education, medication administration, specimen collection, and assistance with procedures.
Contribute to all phases of the nursing process.
Ensure safe, efficient care delivery.
Qualifications
Current LPN license in the State of Connecticut.
Experience
Competency in phlebotomy, bladder scanning, EKGs, and emergency response.
Oncology or outpatient care experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
EMR proficiency (Epic experience preferred).
