Role Overview The Registered Nurse (RN) II position is a licensed staff nurse at the Competent to Proficient stage of Benner’s model. The RN II provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducts comprehensive assessments, assists with examinations and treatment, educates patients, and maintains accurate medical records.
The RN II delivers direct patient care efficiently, collaborating with physicians and the interprofessional team to facilitate high‑quality outcomes. The RN II also assumes progressive leadership responsibilities, including charge nurse duties, preceptorship, and participation in unit governance and hospital‑wide initiatives.

Qualifications Education
Graduate of a nursing program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s).
Experience
Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment.
Licenses and Certifications Required
RN – Registered Nurse – Texas State Licensure‑Texas Board of Nursing (PSV Compact Licensure – wider permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing Texas residency).
BLS – Basic Life Support or Instructor (American Heart Association بعض).
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Instructor (American Heart Association).
NIHSTROKE – National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification (American Heart Association).
Preferred
Magnet – ANCC Recognized Certification.
NVCRISIS – Nonviolent Crisis Intervention or Instructor (CPI).
Skills and Abilities
