Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – Sacramento, CA
Position: Travel Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) – $1,416 to $1,706 per week, 13‑week travel assignment.
Agency: Fusion Medical Staffing, Facility: Sacramento, California.
Shift: 5 days x 8 hours, Start Date: ASAP.

Required Qualifications
Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program
Physical Therapy Assistant experience; new graduates are welcome to apply
Other certifications or licenses as requiredrechter for this position
Summary The PTA works under the supervision of a PT to implement treatment plans that improve patients’ mobility, reduce pain, and enhance functional independence. PTAs provide hands‑on assistance with therapeutic exercises, modalities, and activities of daily living, document progress, educate patients on home exercise programs, and collaborate with the team to support optimal recovery and overall quality of life.
Essential Work Functions
Set up therapy equipment and treatment areas, ensuring devices and supplies are calibrated, clean, and ready for patient sessions.
Guide patients through prescribed exercises and activities to improve mobility, strength, and balance, providing hands‑on assistance as needed.
Observe patient PJ, note changes in functional abilities, and report progress or concerns to the supervising PT.
Accurately record patient treatment details, progress, and adjustments in the medical record.
Instruct patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, proper use of assistive devices, and techniques for safe mobility and injury prevention.
JB Work with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control protocols, safety guidelines, and regulatory standards while addressing patient comfort needs.
Engageாளர் in quality assurance initiatives and professional development activities to remain current with best practices in PT.
Collaborate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions to community or home‑based settings. Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
