Physical Therapist – Early Intervention Queens, NY Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices (SKHOV), a private, non‑profit school and center dedicated to supporting children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Early Intervention team. As part of our comprehensive program, you will play a vital role in helping children aged 0‑3 achieve developmental milestones and reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of children aged 0‑3 with autism spectrum disorder or related developmental disabilities

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, play, and daily routines goals

Provide physical therapy services in home and community settings, including natural environments and play‑based activities

Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists, speech therapists, and teachers to ensure a comprehensive approach

Communicate effectively with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and support

Maintain accurate and detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and outcomes

Requirements

Master’s degree in Physical Therapy (PT) or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution

2+ years of experience as a Physical Therapist, preferably in early intervention or pediatrics

Licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in the State of New York

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing circumstances

Work Environment
