Orthopedic Surgeon Independent 1099
Concentra, one of the largest health care companies in the nation, is seeking an orthopedic surgeon to work on site as a 1099 independent contractor. This contract position is intended to complement your current practice, with approximately a 4‑hour on‑site shift per week or bi‑weekly.

Concentra Advanced Specialists assist in the management of medically complex patients, expedite return to work, and promote functional restoration. Working collaboratively with medical and therapy providers, you will provide specialist services—both non‑surgical and surgical—for orthopedic and neuromusculoskeletal work‑related injuries. You will also communicate with employers and take an active role in case management. The treatments you provide will make a tremendous difference in the lives of those who look to us for care and comfort.
Responsibilities
Provide orthopedic care during a half‑day, weekly or bi‑weekly on‑site shift.
Offer flexible scheduling to accommodate your private practice.
Engage in case management and liaise with employers.
Deliver both surgical and non‑surgical orthopedic services for workplace, sports, and other injuries.
Maintain thorough documentation of patient care.
Qualifications
Preferred experience treating patients with work‑related injuries.
Licensure in the state of practice.
Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program at an accredited university.
Unrestricted DEA license for the state of jurisdiction.
Board certification or eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery.
Medical malpractice insurance covering on‑site work.
Compensation This independent contractor role compensates you through a revenue‑share model.
