Compensation Information Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience.
Potential Annual Earnings: $130,000+ per year
Service Operator I: $20.50 per hour
Potential Annual Earnings: $140,000+ per year
Service Operator II: $22.00 per hour
Potential Annual Earnings: $122,000 - $149,000 per year
Potential sign‑on: $1,000 - $1,500 available
Position eligible for a $400 per month stipend when based out of Williston, ND.
Work schedule: 2 weeks (24 hours on‑call) on, 1 week off. Halliburton reserves the right to adjust schedules based on industry needs.
$45 per day per diem or paid living accommodations during scheduled working time.
Employee responsible for own travel to and from Williston, ND and transportation to and from the Halliburton facility.
Job Description
Under strict supervision, assists during rigging‑up and rigging‑down of cementing service equipment on work locations including spotting of cement storage vessels, pre‑mixing of spacer fluids, rigging‑up appropriate data monitoring equipment.
Learn basic oil well operations including pipe capacities and volume/height math, plug landing pressures, absolute volumes (including total water requirements for job), hydrostatic and differential pressure, resulting forces, balanced plugs, bulk cement blending calculations to include liquid additives and weighted spacers, pressure to reverse, and determining burst and collapse.
Assist in the operation of some or all of the following: cement pumping and mixed equipment, blenders, liquid additive metering systems, centrifugal pumps, data acquisition systems, Automatic Density Control (ADC) systems, bulk cement blending, delivery, and storage systems, manifold equipment, and cementing plug releasing tools.
Assist in the performance of pre‑trip and post‑trip vehicle inspections and associated paperwork/reports.
Understand hazardous materials, job wash‑up and discharge procedures.
Verify correct line up of valves on bulk systems and surface manifold equipment.
Job tasks performed precisely with minimal impact upon the viability of the organization. Errors identified by supervisor and can be corrected.
Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness and comply with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations. Ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) regulations and guidelines.
Promote and take an active part in quality improvement.
Qualifications Work Authorization: Candidates who are not legally authorized to work in the United States will not be considered. Halliburton will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
High school diploma or equivalent education required and 3‑6 months of experience as an Operator Assistant I – Cementing.
Class A CDL preferred with manual transmission experience.
Class A CDL permit preferred prior to start date.
Must be able to obtain a Class A CDL within 90 days after start date; Halliburton will enroll employees in a program to obtain a CDL.
Manual transmission experience preferred.
May require I‑Learn courses: Cementing II and Service Tools I.
Effective communication with others is necessary.
