Role Purpose This role is responsible for the safe and efficient repairing and rebuilding of airport service vehicles, including support trucks, stationary carts, tankers, and hydrant trucks. You will inspect and identify defective or broken parts and perform repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems. The maintenance team ensures our aircraft services team can operate effectively by providing preventive care and timely repairs, following established procedures and protocols.
What you will be doing
Inspect and identify defective parts and make repairs to gas/diesel engines, hydraulic, electrical, fueling, and mechanical systems.
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual quality control checks on refueling equipment and maintain maintenance records.
Provide proper preventative care to equipment and timely repairs to broken equipment.
Maintain a safe and secure work environment in accordance with local health, safety, and security policies and procedures, while ensuring a clean workspace.
Hydrate electric equipment according to the Hydration Schedule.
Program and understand the functions of the Rapid Charger, including the battery monitor and identification device (BMID).
Perform accident inspections on involved equipment.
Safety, Security, Wellbeing and Compliance You will be responsible for taking reasonable care of your own and others' health, safety and wellbeing, following training and workplace health and safety rules or procedures. The company is committed to providing a safe working environment for all staff. Misuse of alcohol and drugs is prohibited, and regular testing enforces the Substance Misuse Policy.
Requirements
اصيل 6 months of Diesel Mechanic experience.
Minimum age 18.
Valid U.S. driver’s license.
Authorization to work in the USA.
Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English.
Comfortable lifting or moving up to 70 lbs.
Flexible to work variable shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Comfortable working in all weather conditions.
All mechanics may perform duties of other positions as needed for operational priorities.
Ability to obtain and maintain an airport badge.
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education and experience.
Tool requirements
Swivel, socket (deep and shallow), extensions 3” and 6”.
Deep Impact Socket 1/2‑6/16”.
Standard 5/16‑1”.
Spark Plug Socket 5/8 and 13/16”.
Crescent wrenches 8” and 12”.
Ball peen hammer 32 oz.
4‑pound sledge.
Punch and chisel set.
Phillips head screwdrivers #1 & #2.
Standard head screwdrivers #1 & #2.
Pry bar 24”.
OSHA‑approved air nozzle.
Miscellaneous: flashlight, tire pressure gauge up to 120 psi, tape measure 25”, oil filter wrenches (small & large), gloves, medium locking rollaway toolbox, small locking road box.
