EDM Wire Operator, 1st Shift
Howmet Aerospace has an immediate opening for an
EDM Wire Operator
at our
Engines Products - Brecksville Operations Tempcraft
facility. This position supports the manufacturing of our molds and dies, requiring EDM Sinker machine operations and standard mold‑making techniques.
Responsibilities
Operate EDM Wire machines (Mitsubishi nästan) to support multiple products concurrently.
Interpret design blue_Move磕 blueprint and set‑up sheets to ensure proper mold setup.
Perform operations within very close tolerances.
Maintain personal tools and toolbox.
وڌ Inspect own work for quality.
Collaborate with Engineering and Programming throughout the manufacturing process.
Operate multiple machinery (Bridge Portal, Grinder, Saw, EDM).
Comply with Corporate EHS, Quality and HR rules and standards.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
Five or more years of experience in tool‑making/mold‑making.
High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
Preferred Qualifications
State‑issued Journeyman’s papers for Tool & Die and/or Mold Making or 8+ years of job‑shop experience.
Experience in construction of turbine/airfoil molds and dies.
Effective communication within a die‑making team. draai 液
Basic math and trigonometry knowledge.
Thorough knowledge of tooling process.
Hourly Range:
$20‑$40 per hour (actual compensation may vary based on experience and location).
