ARRT Radiology / Limited License X‑Ray Technologist – Urgent Team (FT/PRN)

Position Overview:
This position performs x‑ray testing, including body mechanics and patient movement using knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The technologist operates diagnostic equipment, develops film, prepares the room with necessary equipment and supplies for each procedure, and performs Medical Assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities
Promptly greets patients when entering the waiting area, exam room, laboratory, or x‑ray room.
Consistently communicates with patients about wait times and provides direction to the next step in the treatment process.
Provides solutions to patient problems and recognizes and seeks help in emergent/hazardous situations.
Executes follow‑up calls with a sense of urgency.
Assists front desk personnel with patient check‑in/out procedures when necessary.
Obtains and accurately documents patient vital signs and weight, takes a brief history, including past medical, family, social history, current medications, allergies and other pertinent historical information as appropriate.
Assists with patient transfers.
Assists with procedures directly supervised by the provider.
Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visits.
Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician.
Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams.
Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regard to patient safety and care, including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the manager or provider on duty.
Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources.
Maintains current licensure and certification၀ for the facility radiology equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Chang (sell) ?? AR State X‑Ray license.
ARRT certification preferred.
Experience as a Medical Assistant preferred.
Schedule Full‑time team members work a rotating 36–40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12‑hour weekday shifts and every‑other weekend. PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as‑needed basis.
