$46.50 – $51.80/hour DOE
Overview Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Dietitian to join a food and nutrition services team at a large healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, be able to perform timely nutrition assessments, and provide individualized education and dietary planning. This position plays a vital role in supporting patient recovery and promoting long-term health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Screen and assess patients to determine nutritional needs and status.
Interpret clinical and laboratory data related to nutrition care.
Provide nutrition education to patients and families, including food/drug interaction guidance.
Document patient diet instructions and understanding in the medical record.
Modify patient menus and consult with physicians as needed.
Conduct follow-up care and ongoing nutritional evaluations.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience required; 2 years preferred.
Degree in Dietetics or Foods and Nutrition from an accredited institution.
For acute care:
Registration with the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) required.
For post-acute/long-term care:
NY State Certification as “Dietitian-Nutritionist” required at time of hire.
AHA BLS: Preferred
