Position Overview We are looking for a detail-oriented Ultra-Precision Diamond Turning Optical Technician to support our advanced optics manufacturing team. This position requires experience in CNC machining, optics, and metrology, with a strong focus on precision, accuracy, and quality. Key Responsibilities
Operate and maintain ultra-precision diamond turning machines for optical component manufacturing
Set up, program, and troubleshoot CNC equipment for complex optics projects
Perform inspection and measurement of optical components using advanced metrology tools and techniques
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure parts meet rigorous standards
Document processes, maintain accurate production records, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
2–3 years of hands‑on experience with CNC machining and optics manufacturing
Strong knowledge of optical fabrication principles and metrology techniques
Familiarity with ultra‑precision diamond turning equipment preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
High attention to detail and commitment to producing exceptional quality work
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
