Job Information Bobcat’s student program is designed to empower newcomers. Whether you seek on‑the‑job experience, wish to test a career path, or hope for a foot in the door, this role offers hands‑on opportunity, professional development tools, and the chance to apply academic learning to real‑world projects.
Co‑op : 8‑month full‑time experience fully immersed in corporate and production environments. Internship : Semester‑long part‑time experience with the option to extend across multiple semesters.
Positions are available across 18 different functions within Bobcat.
Role & Responsibility
Develop embedded software, scripts, and internal utilities using C/C++, C#, Python, Qt, and/or MATLAB/Simulink.
Create and execute unit, hardware, and on‑machine tests to ensure software quality and functionality.
Participate in code reviews, manage requirements, and utilize project tracking systems.
Operate equipment, construct electrical harnesses, log, and analyze test data.
Job Requirements
Sophomore, Junior, Senior standing in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity Engineering, or equivalent.
3.0 or higher GPA preferred.
Able to commit full‑time to Bobcat for the entire term of the co‑op (8 months) or internship (4‑month).
Strong analytical and problem‐solving skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
Effective communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
