About The Role CLA is seeking to hire a

Controller (CAAS)

in our Tri Cities offices. This role performs Controllertery functions as part of the client’s accounting services team, acting as the manager of designated functions for the client. The controller is accountable for identifying and implementing best practices related to services provided to add value to the client and must develop full knowledge of GAAP (FASB/SFAS) and a deep understanding of financial and operational aspects of their industry.

As a Controller (CAAS) You Will Be Responsible For

Financials:

Develop internal control policies, guidelines and procedures for budget administration, cash and credit management, and accounting. Coordinate and direct financial planning, budgeting, procurements or investment activities, prepare financial information and statements, business activity reports, financial position forecasts, budgets or regulatory reports. Evaluate needs for procurement of funds and investment of surpluses and make recommendations. Monitor ratios and key performance indicators (KPIs).

Leadership:

Monitor and evaluate performance of accounting and other financial staff, recommend and implement actions. Advise management on short‑term and long‑term financial objectives, policies and actions. Communicate regularly with boards, bankers, investors, constituents, etc., including preparing for and/or hosting board presentations. \pom What You Will Need

6 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required.

Bachelor’s degree is required; combination of related experience, education and training may be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Maintain knowledge of client organization policies, federal and state directives, current accounting standards and accounting software packages.

Frequent local travel to/from client sites and occasional non‑local or overnight travel for client visits, training, meetings or other business purposes.

Compensation:

We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. The compensation range for this position in Washington is: $104,300.00 – $177,000.00.
