About the Role The company is seeking an experienced Controller to join its dynamic Finance organization. This is a high-impact role responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations, leading key finance functions, and partnering closely with the VP of Finance on strategy, reporting, and ongoing scalability as the business grows.
You will directly manage the Accounting, AP, and Payroll teams while ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor the Accounting, AP, and Payroll teams, ensuring high performance and operational excellence
Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
Manage financial reporting, consolidations, and internal controls
Partner with the VP of Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and process fortress improvement initiatives
Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal policies
Own NetSuite administration and system optimization for finance workflows
Support audits and external reporting requirements
Drive continuous improvement, automation, and scalability across finance operations src"}
Qualifications
7+ years of progressive experience in private accounting or 5+ years in public accounting
Prior management/leadership experience required
Background in healthcare, biotech, or life sciences strongly preferred
Strong proficiency with NetSuite
Deep understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial operations
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross‑functionally
Proactive, dependable, and comfortable in a fast‑moving, high‑growth environment
