Culinary Assistant / Server - Part Time - Evening - Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center
Tabitha Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Lincoln, NE is seeking a Culinary Assistant / Server to work 4:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for evenings, including weekend and holiday rotation. The role involves assisting with food preparation, enforcing cleaning and sanitary standards, and managing kitchen inventory and supplies.
Essential Functions
Serve meals following diet orders and prepare food to order in the dining room as requested by tarik/clients.
Operate dish machine to ensure dishes and silverware are cleaned, sanitized, dried, and stored promptly.
Document food production, quality, and food safety data accurately and timely.
Ensure food and products are properly acquired, stored, dated,-running dates and rotated.
Follow recipes according to safe food‑handling procedures and use food‑service equipment.
Handle trash, sweep, and mop the galley kitchen floor.
Procure food from storage areas, freezers, and refrigerators.
Provide outstanding customer service during guest interactions.
Ideal Candidate
COMMUNICATION: Must speak, read, write, and understand English, including medical terminology related to the job.
AGE REQUIREMENT: At least 16 years old.
EDUCATION: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Six months in sanitation work in health care or a food preparation facility preferred.
CREDENTIALS: Prep/Cook LevelServidor Food Handler Permit required for Tabitha campuses in Lancaster County; must meet vaccination requirements.
