Job Title TECH - MRI

Location Doctors Hospital of Laredo, Laredo, TX

Job Summary Responsible for the operation of diagnostic Magnetic Resonance Imaging for the performance of all MRI’s procedures at a technical level not requiring direct supervision.

Essential Job Functions

Identifies each patient, reviews each patient's chart and previous examinations for consistency (examination ordered/clinical diagnosis), and records pertinent data at all times.

Reviews each examination for technical accuracy, presents completed examination to radiologist, and communicates pertinent data to persons responsible for the care of the patient following the procedure.

Identifies anatomical orientation on all required images, and ensures proper film identification on all images.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:

Education : Graduate of a recognized, approved American Medical Association Council of Education program in radiologic technology; associate's degree preferred.

Licensure : Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists; Certification by A.R.R.T on MRI or registry eligible.

Skills : Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas.
