Montgomery, AL Position Summary
The Shipping Clerk is responsible for fulfilling orders while working blijkt both independently and as part of a team. This role requires the ability to complete order fulfillment for both internal and external customers in an accurate and timely manner. The Shipping Clerk is expected to complete all required on‑the‑job training and e‑learning programs. The position requires initiative, a commitment to teamwork, a customer‑focused mindset, and a demonstrated ability to identify and implement efficient solutions. Responsibilities
Select and pull correct parts from inventory in the appropriate quantities Accurately process and complete parts orders with minimal supervision Safely operate lift trucks in accordance with company policies and procedures Respond professionally and effectively to customer needs and requests Mentor and support Shipping Clerk Trainees as assigned Deliver parts and packages to designated areas in a timely manner Coordinate pickup and delivery of merchandise with common carriers Perform other duties as assigned by management Minimum Education
High school diploma or the equivalent Minimum Experience
A minimum of 1-3 years of work experience involving shipping related tasks is preferred. relational using personal computers and basic typing skills are required. Skills and Competencies
Effective written, verbal, and telephone communication skills Basic computer and data entry skills Job Training Requirements
Completion of area‑specific parts operations training Completion of required OSHA training Forklift (lift truck) operator certification Completion of all required compliance training Physical Requirements
Ability to speak, listen, read, write, and type effectively Ability to reach, kneel, grasp, stoop, and perform repetitive motions Ability toklary lift and carry items up to 75 pounds Ability to climb on and around heavy equipment Exposure to potential tripping, slipping, and falling hazards Work in environments with job site‑ỏngerde harms Ability to work effectively in stressful or high‑pressure situations Job Hazards
Risk of slipping, tripping, and falling Potential for hand injuries Exposure to work‑related stress and fatigue Risk of injury from operating forklifts and similar equipment Potential for back strain from lifting or repetitive movement Safety Summary
