Maintains the integrity of the FedEx flight schedule by operationally managing FedEx flight crew in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), and internal CRS departmental policy and procedure.
Essential Functions
Optimizes crew member utilization to maximum extent possible that provides complete and legal manning for the dynamic requirements of the global operations control center (GOCC) flight schedule with an emphasis on on‑time performance.
Records all crew member activities via a crew management system that meets federal aviation administration (FAA) and FedEx crew data and analysis requirements.
Identifies requirements for crew‑related automated systems.
Develops, designs and tests automated systems.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education Bachelor's degree/equivalent.
Minimum Experience Five (5) years related experience in a flight operations environment including two (2) years in crew scheduling.
Experience in statistical analysis, modeling, and computer applications.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Thorough knowledge of the pilot collective bargaining agreement (CBA) and 12 federal aviation regulations required. Computer skills required.
Knowledge of accounting, statistics, and computerized crew management systems.
Job Conditions Ability to work variable shifts and holidays.
