DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Material Handling
Organize and deliver material and paperwork for all cut lists.
Enter in to stock all manufactured parts.
Evaluate and fulfill material needs for all manufacturing departments.
Deliver materials needed to each department into correct point of use storage locations.
Move full waste barrels to staging areas and load onto vendor’s truck for pickup.
Move recycling from office area and production areas.
Deliver special materials to areas where needed, including office.
Move sawdust and waste trailers as needed.
Move finished product trailers in shipping as needed.
Receiving
Unload all trucks (except lumber).
Verify the condition of all received material.
Verify the accuracy of received goods against the packing slips and/or purchase order.
Accurately enter in to stock all received materials.
Maintenance/Housekeeping
Maintain cleanliness of the area and observe 5S practices.
Maintain all inventory areas and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations to minimize shut downs.
Sweep and clean warehouses regularly.
Product Accuracy (done in conjunction with all activities)
Visually monitor all delivered raw materials to identify defective or substandard materials. Notify supervisor of any substandard material.
Maintain accurate inventory counts in assigned warehouses and material classes.
Perform cycle counts as assigned.
Safety (done in conjunction with all activities)
Report any safety concerns to your supervisor immediately.
Adhere to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
Adhere to Emergency Action and Hazardous Waste Contingency disposal procedures.
Attend all mandatory safety training.
Other
Perform other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Educational and/or Experience Minimum Level Required: High school diploma or equivalency. Ability to obtain Forklift certification.
Preferred: Has at least 1 year experience in inventory control. Has at least 3 years experience with forklift driving. Has commercial driver’s license.
License or Certification Required Forklift Certification.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing.
Ability to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
Ability to read, interpret and apply written procedures and specifications.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Ability to perform basic Computer operations.
Ability to perform basic mathematics, such as addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
