Base Pay Range $77,792.00/yr - $124,467.20/yr

Overview Dartmouth‑Hitchcock Medical Center seeks a full‑time Physical Therapist to join our acute care rehabilitation team comprising over sixty staff members including PT, OT, SLP, and mobility technicians. In this role the Physical Therapist will work with hospital patients after surgery, illness or injury, providing services to patients on all units and of all ages from pediatrics to geriatrics. At this academic Level‑I trauma center, the physical therapist will work closely with a large team of diverse providers in a collaborative, collegial work environment that fosters the best care possible for our patients.

$10,000 signing bonus and relocation available.

Position Highlights

Full‑time, 40 hours/week, Monday‑Friday 8‑4:30

Includes occasional scheduled weekend shifts with associated days off during the week

Autonomous provision of physical therapy services in the acute care setting

Available ICU and Pediatric competencies for interested candidates

Responsibilities

Examine, evaluate, diagnose, determine prognosis, and provide intervention. Report findings to other health‑care team members. Provide discharge recommendations, exercise programs, and family teaching.

Plan therapy involving physical exercise, massage, heat, water, etc.

Among others, participate in and support in‑service education, student programs, volunteer/observation programs, Professional Practice Committee, committees, etc.

Provide documentation, billing, and record keeping. Participate in compliance audits.

Coordinate the scheduling of patients and meetings.

Determine and implement annual plan for professional development.

Delegate tasks to support personnel.

Perform other duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree if graduated prior to 2002; minimum of a Masterexpand ­ degree if graduating in 2002 or later.

Licensed PT with New Hampshire eligibility.

BLS certification.
