Welcome to Women Services! 5 Tower is a 28‑bed unit that specializes in Mom/baby/Antepartum care. During low census, female non‑obstetric patients, preferably with GYN conditions or other patients with clean surgical cases or medical conditions may be admitted to these units. We are a Baby Friendly facility and proud that all our nurses have a Breastfeeding Certification. We will support you in obtaining this special certification too. Our Charge Nurse, Admission‑Discharge Nurse, and Resource Nurse are always available to guide patient care, support staff investigate and lead day‑to‑day unit operations. Our unit leadership: At the helm of the Women’s Units, you’ll find our Nurse Manager, a seasoned nurse with 30 years of experience, all of it in Women’s services. She started out as a unit secretary while in nursing school and worked her way up as a bedside nurse, Charge Nurse, Educator and Nurse Manager. She truly understands each role and responsibility. The Resource Nurse has 33 years of nursing experience from Med‑Surg and Women’s Services. She has a passion for teaching other nurses and sharing her knowledge with others. She teaches many of the Women’s and Children’s specialty classes such as Basic Fetal monitoring, quarterly essential classes and assists with yearly competencies. Position Summary

The Acute Care Registered Nurse (RN) provides inpatient nursing care to patients in compliance with the SC Nurse Practice Act and organization protocols, policies, procedures, and guidelines. The RN demonstrates clinical competency utilizing evidence‑based practices and research in all areas of the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and outcomes. The RN demonstrates thorough knowledge of therapeutic patient care, patient advocacy, clinical pathways/care maps, team dynamics, hospital systems, and serves as a resource for support associates. The RN will collaborate with leadership in developing and implementing the Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s culture, Mission, Vision, and Values. Associates are encouraged to engage and support Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s involvement in the communities we serve. Minimum Requirements

Education

Graduate of an approved / accredited School of Nursing Experience

Novice to expert nurse License/Registration/Certifications

Current RN licensure in the State of South Carolina or Compact State BLS – may secure certification post‑hire Preferred Requirements
