Overview Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood is the flagship casino resort of Hard Rock International, owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida. This world‑renowned entertainment, gaming and hospitality destination unveiled a $1.5 billion expansion on Oct. 24, 2019. Responsibilities Under the direction of the Slot Lead Technician, this position is responsible for installing, upgrading, converting, servicing, adjusting and repairing slot machines. The technician applies electrical theory and related knowledge to test, repair and maintain the slot machines and related gaming equipment.

Essential Job Functions

Respond promptly to calls on the casino floor, diagnose causes of malfunctions and failures and take immediate appropriate action.

Promote positive public/employee relations at all times by providing friendly service to players and employees, and by meeting their needs.

Rebuild, overhauls, convert, adjust, calibrate, align and modify any slot machine and related gaming equipment.

Obtain a working knowledge of various electronic and electro‑mechanical equipment.

Repair and reactivate malfunctioning and out‑of‑order machines with minimal effect on the operation.

Maintain a clean, safe, hazard‑free work environment within area of responsibility.

Perform all service requirements for slot machines included in the installation and relocation.

Perform all essential duties for preventative maintenance.

Conduct yourself in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, and Seminole Tribe of Florida / departmental policies and procedures.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.

Minimum one year experience and/or training as an electronics technician responsible for maintenance and repair, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Commitment to routinely go above and beyond in the accomplishment of position responsibilities in an effort to play a role in the achievement of organizational goals.

Must present an image of excitement, enthusiasm, outgoing personality, and be able to project a professional appearance.

Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.

The department operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; management expects that you must be able to work any shift including nights, weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

May be exposed to casino‑related environmental factors including second‑hand smoke and excessive noise.

Employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear, and taste or smell. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment is hectic, fast‑paced and often crowded and noisy.

May be exposed to casino‑related environmental factors such as second‑hand smoke, excessive noise and constant exposure to the general public.

Closing The Tribal Council gives preference in all of its employment practices to Native Americans. First preference in hiring, training, promoting and in all other aspects of employment is given to members of the Seminole Tribe the job requirements. Second preference is given to members of other federally recognized Native American Tribes who meet the job requirements.

Required As part of Seminole Gaming’s employment process, final candidates will be required to obtain gaming licensure by completing a background check with Seminole Gaming Compliance and Regulations, prior to an offer being extended.
