Coordinate the scheduling of procedures with physicians, physician offices, and anesthesiologists according to established scheduling guidelines. Ensure that necessary equipment is available for all scheduled procedures. Communicate additions, cancellations and special requests of schedule to all appropriate parties. Collect patient demographic and insurance data at time of procedure scheduling. Utilize the computerized scheduling system and support updates as available. Serve as preceptor to new employees. Qualifications
Education: High School Graduate or GED preferred. Secretarial, computer and clerical skills acquired through formal education and training also preferred. Experience: Six months experience in office functions acquired through hospital or medical office work preferred. Ability to utilize basic office equipment, including computer terminals. Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required: None. About the Hospital

It is home to the Texas Transplant Institute and is the largest living donor kidney transplant program in the US.
