Responsibilities
The CT Technologist is responsible for reviewing the physician order and reason for exam, preparing the patient, positioning, and performing CT imaging of patients.
The CT Technologist works closely with CT leadership and the radiologist to produce the most diagnostic images possible in accordance with department protocols.
Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to obtain images of designated body portions for interpretation by physicians, with attention to ALARA techniques.
Collaborates with unit members and FirstChoice colleagues to deliver evidence-based care within a healing culture for patients and families.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree or higher required.
Eighteen (18) months of CT experience required.
Completion of an accredited radiologic technologist program and registration as a CT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association acceptable).
Willingness to float throughout the hospital and/or multiple hospital locations.
Cannot hold a concurrent position at a Trinity Health facility.
