The Admitting Clerk at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital in Mooresville, North Carolina, facilitates the efficient admission and registration of patients, ensuring accuracy in documentation, insurance verification, and financial counseling. This role provides exceptional customer service, supports patient safety, and maintains compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities Facilitate the admission and registration of patients, verify insurance information, provide financial counseling, maintain accurate documentation, provide excellent customer service, support patient safety, and ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Hours Wednesday and Thursday 11:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.; Sunday night 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (post–high‑school specialized training preferred).
Six to twelve months of previous hospital experience preferred.
Strong communication and customer‑service skills.
