Overview Located close to the Michigan/Ohio border, Toledo Tool & Die has served the people of both states since 1940. Founded on a simple principle of doing the finest work possible and delivering on every promise, the company operates three facilities in the Toledo area and one in Pioneer, Ohio.

Position This is a full‑time position based in Toledo, Ohio. Standard hours are the 3rd shift: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM‑6:00 AM. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities and a clean, safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform simple‑to‑complex duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant’s equipment.

Provide assistance for emergency or unscheduled repairs of production equipment and perform scheduled maintenance during machine service.

Perform electrical duties including PLCs, reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics; work with 120 V, 220 V, 480 V, and 13.8 kV circuits; install, repair, and troubleshoot starters, relays, switches, proximity circuits, variable frequency drives, contactors, and input/output circuits.

Perform mechanical tasks such as pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

Perform fabrication projects that typically involve welding components together.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

Carry out plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

Execute aerial tasks using scissor lifts, baskets, and booms.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment as needed.

Detect faulty operations or defective material and report abnormalities to proper supervision.

Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean, orderly work areas.

Hold the authority to stop production if unsafe conditions arise.

Perform additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or manager, which may be outside the scope of this list.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years of age.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Eligible to work in the United States.

Must satisfy pre‑employment screening (background check and drug screen).

Experienced in industrial maintenance.

5+ years of progressive industrial experience in electronics, hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and general industrial skills.

Ability to work in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.

Reliability in reporting to work on time to support production startup.

Good physical stamina and coordination; able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, or climb for extended periods.

Capability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds.

Team‑player with good communication, basic math, and physical dexterity.

Valid driver’s license.
