Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech I
Join Sonoco as an Industrial Maintenance Reliability Tech I in Conyers, GA. This role starts at $30.84 per hour, including a $1.50 shift differential for the 3rd shift.
In this position, you will report to the Maintenance Supervisor and be responsible for proactive maintenance tasks that ensure high quality, efficient, and timely shipment of Sonoco products. Key responsibilities include:
Installing and maintaining auxiliary equipment as required by production.
Maintaining and repairing utility and facility‑related equipment as directed by the Plant Engineer.
Assisting and training other maintenance personnel with repairs, preventive maintenance, and rebuilds.
Collaborating closely with other departments and teams for proactive problem resolutions.
Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work area.
Managing small projects to maintain or upgrade equipment.
; Performing all duties in support of Sonoco’s quality and safety policies.

Experience in an industrial environment or military experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment.
Experience with PLC troubleshooting, industrial and motor controls (preferred).
Comfortable with mechanical lifts, ladders, kneeling, bending, and twisting; lifting up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a shift position with rotating shifts, including overtime and weekends.
