Nurse Clinician III, Outpatient - Towncenter Pain
Job Summary:
Proficient Clinician. Possesses knowledge and skill to meet standards for competent professional nursing practice as specified in the Texas Nurseشه Act. Experienced, knowledgeable and skilled in specialty area. Competently functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team. Practice is characterized byEA predominantly independent.span ensuring decision-making, problem-focused and patient-centered care. Able to manage unexpected or emergency situations commonly seen in the assigned specialty population. Serves as a resource for Nurse Clinician I or II. Can manage common contingency situations that arise on the clinical unit. Provides patient care through nursing practices based upon the American Nurses Association Standards of Professional Practice and Professional Performance. Values the unit’s specialty, nursing, institutional strategic initiatives and health system goals.
Minimum Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with two years of clinical RN experience.
Must possess and maintain a current license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Job Duties
Proficiently and independently assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document the daily care of assigned patients.
Identify patient care needs, formulate nursing diagnoses, develop individualized care plans, and revise as needed.
Execute physician orders for all assigned patients, administer medications and treatments, and deliver culturally congruent and specialty-appropriate care in accordance with UTMB policies, procedures, and standards.
Perform routine and complex technical procedures/skills in the assigned specialty area.
Perform stress tests, initiate IVs RPM JAM AND assess/ manage cardiac and pulmonary patients.
Salary Range Actual salary commensurate with experience.
Work Schedule Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm.
