Pay Grade $19.29- $21.69/ hr

Plus premium for hours worked in the Weekend Zone Premium (Friday - Sunday)

Schedule Thursday 10 hours (5:00am - 3:00pm)

Friday 12 hours (5:00am-5:00pm)

Saturday night 12 hours (10:00pm -10:00am) hours would adjust for sundown time

Clock out for lunch (other days and hours as needed)

Job Summary McKee Foods is seeking a Sanitation Specialist to join our Environmental Sanitation Department team.

You will work in all areas, cleaning equipment with high-pressure systems and operating high pressure washing equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Cleaning areas assigned by the Master Sanitation System (MSS) or areas assigned by supervisor.

Clean and sanitize line equipment as well as environmental cleaning.

Work in various environments. (Hot/cold, wet/dry, floor/heights)

Must be able to lift 40 lbs.

Must be able to work safely around moving equipment.

Must be willing to attend specialized training when required

Must be willing and able to work with various chemicals

Will mainly be working in the manufacturing floor

Must be able and willing to learn and understand the production schedule, as well as good communication with mixers.

Must complete weekly MSS (Master Sanitation System)

Must be able to complete Special Project Tasks

Must be flexible with their tasks

Must be able to learn CODES

Must be able to have good radio etiquette

Must complete daily tailing tasks (it is where you take samples and bring them to Technical Service Lab for testing)

Must complete Out of Spec swabs

Must be able to read, understand and follow the Standard Operating Procedure.

Must be able to work independently or with others.

Must be willing to take on other tasks asked by Supervisor

Required Qualifications

Have or able to obtain Scissor Lift License

Basic computer skills

High initiative, self-motivation, and ability to work well with minimal supervision

Good overall work, attendance, and safety record

Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to company food safety and product purity procedures

Ability to organize and prioritize multiple cleaning activities

Ability to work and communicate well with peers and management

Ability to lift 40 pounds

Willing to work flexible hours

Capability to handle physically demanding work in varying climates

Preferred Qualifications

Food processing or food manufacturing experience

Familiarity with industrial/manufacturing cleaning processes and procedures

Basic knowledge of the function and operation of sanitation equipment

Training and/or experience in operating lift equipment

Related training; including blood borne pathogens, confined space, lock out systems, dust hazard, chemical management, etc.
