About you: You’re an ambitious self‑starter with 3+ years bookkeeping experience and love organization, focus, and productivity. You understand that accuracy, prioritizing, and time management are critical, love the details, and staying busy. experience working with real estate and/or property management and Appfolio or similar platform
minimum 3+ years bookkeeping experience with mastery of Quickbooks online bookkeeping platform (Quickbooks Certification a plus)
strong understanding of accounting and bookkeeping payable/receivable principle
proficiency with MS Office and hands‑on experience with preparing spreadsheets and presentation materials, compiling data and data entry, budgeting and forecasting

Bookkeeper Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities may shift as we grow, but generally include
Reconciling multiple accounts monthly and performing double entry bookkeeping and maintaining accurate records for audit purposes
AR/AP transfers
Maintaining cash flow spreadsheet (templated)
Processing agent commissions and employee payroll bi‑monthly
Bookkeeping‑related research requests
Ensure compliance with GAAP and governmental accounting standards
Annual/as‑needed
Setting up and maintaining books for new businesses as needed
Oversee 1099 FACTPreparation
Year‑end owner reporting and end‑of‑year financial reports
Annual audit of insurance policies and vendors
New property/employee/agent onboarding and maintaining new hire documents
Generate financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Secondary Responsibilities – Cross‑training
Creating and sending monthly Owner Statements/processing payments to owners
Posting tenant rent payments
Processing 5‑day notices
Short‑term rental taxes (TPT)
Property end of Management and supporting End‑of‑Year tasks
401(k) with matching, Dental insurance, Disability insurance, Employee assistance program, Health insurance, Life insurance, Paid sick time, Paid vacation and some holidays, Vision insurance
