Job Overview The Jeweler is responsible for performing basic sizing, soldering, and prong settings in various precious metals. The role also includes servicing guest needs with respect to POMP/JSP, cleanings, and Lifetime Warranty Check-ups in an immediate, positive and caring manner. The Jeweler will conduct opening, closing, and scheduled maintenance for the shop equipment, while progressively advancing jewelry repair and manufacturing techniques. The position requires continual learning of new techniques and the creation of custom pieces. The Jeweler works closely with the Master Jeweler and the General Manager to achieve store objectives and ensure adherence to company values.
Jewelry Repair
Performs basic sizing, soldering, and prong settings in various precious metals.
Completes repairs in a timely manner while maintaining Robbins Brothers Quality standards.
Consistently provides innovative solutions within RB parameters for repairs/custom pieces to maintain item integrity while driving repair revenue.
Guest Service
Serves guest needs with respect to POMP/JSP, cleanings, and warranty check-ups in an immediate, positive, and caring manner.
Assists store staff with basic guest inquiries.
Security & Safety
Maintains constant awareness of security issues involved in operating a store and jewelry shop.
Follows guidelines and procedures for handling merchandise.
Follows procedures for opening and closing the store.
Enforces safety protocols in the shop with all tools, equipment, and chemicals.
Makes sure hazardous chemicals are handled safely, including assistance with hazardous waste spills and cleanup.
Shop Maintenance
Conducts opening, closing, and scheduled maintenance for shop equipment.
Assists Master Jeweler in maintaining a clean, aesthetically pleasing shop environment.
Ensures supply needs for in‑store repairs such as casting grain, solders, rhodium, Airgas, tools, etc., are met in partnership with the Master Jeweler or General Manager.
Education & Training
Completes assigned training.
Becomes proficient in progressively advancing jewelry repair and manufacturing techniques.
