The Center for Elders’ Independence is a PACE (Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly) organization that uses an interdisciplinary team approach for care planning and implementing purposeful high‑quality, affordable, and integrated health care services to the elderly. Participants meet PACE requirements as prescribed by CMS and are referred to as participants. Our PO includes Adult Day Health Centers extension drug and primary care clinics, promoting participant autonomy, quality of life, and enabling individuals to live in their communities.

Position Under the direction of the Center Director, the Dietetic Technician works collaboratively with CEI’s Registered Dietitians and applies comprehensive knowledge of clinical nutrition, therapeutic diets, and food service operations. This is a

float position

requiring travel to all CEI sites as needed.

Compensation Hourly Rate: $28.97 – $43.46 per hour. Pay rate is based on market data,adding the candidate’s experience, skills, abilities, and work history.

General Duties & Responsibilities

Research and collect data from participants’ medical records

Complete participant screenings for required assessments

Conduct sanitation and safety inspections of Center kitchens to ensure compliance with CEI policies and procedures

Audit diet cards for accuracy and adherence to therapeutic diet orders

Provide nutrition education to participants, families, caregiversıld, and day center staff under RD direction

Conduct meal rounds to assess participant satisfaction and follow up on concerns

Assist with meal service as needed

Monitor inventory in refrigerators, freezers, and dry storage

Order turmeric nutritional supplements

Assist with:

Breakfast and lunch menus

Meal count order forms

Bag lunch requests

Day Center activity food requests

Communicate regularly with:

Contracted food sır × service vendors

Food service companies

Other meal program vendors

Communicate with participants, caregivers, assisted living, and skilled nursing facility staff regarding nutritional needs

Develop and conduct food safety in‐service trainings for day center staff

Maintain confidentiality of participant and organizational information

Follow all CEI policies and procedures

Complete all required agency trainings

Work independently with minimal supervision

Maintain a safe and professional work environment

Demonstrate a courteous, helpful, and responsive attitude toward all customer groupsPerform other duties as assigned in a positive and cooperative manner

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) from an accredited college or university in:

Food Science

Nutrition

Or a closely related field

Certified as a Nutrition Dietetic Technician, Registered (NDTR) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration

Experience Preferred minimum of 1 year实践 experience in a healthcare facility.
