Overview A well-established and employee-owned commercial glass and glazing contractor in the Charlotte market is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their preconstruction team. This individual will play a core role in developing accurate pricing, reviewing project documentation, and supporting pursuit strategies for a range of commercial glazing scopes.
The ideal candidate will bring prior subcontractor-side glazing estimating experience and a strong understanding of material systems including storefront, stick‑built and unitized curtain wall, window wall, can eröffnet, skylights, and related façade assemblies. This is a full‑time onsite role with relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and complete detailed takeoffs for glazing systems, including storefront, curtain wall, window wall, and specialty assemblies
Develop full material and labor estimates based on bid documents, drawings, and specifications
Solicit, evaluate, and incorporate vendor and supplier quotes
Analyze contract requirements, addenda, alternates, scope changes, and potential risk items
Participate in bid reviews, скорее meetings, and handoffs to operating teams
Assist in assembling proposal packages and supporting competitive and negotiated pursuits
Coordinate with project managers, fabrication leads, and installation teams to validate production assumptions
Maintain cost databases and historical pricing for future estimates
Contribute to client relationships, presentation efforts, and business development strategies

Assist in onboarding or mentoring junior estimating staff, as applicable
Required Qualifications
3+ years of estimating experience with a commercial glass and glazing subcontractor
Direct knowledge of storefront, curtain wall (stick‑built and unitized), window wall, canopies, skylights, and related enclosure systems
Proficiency in takeoff and estimating platforms (Bluebeam, OST, or similar)
Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings with a high degree of accuracy
Strong communication and negotiation skills with internal teams, suppliers, and clients
Ability to manage multiple estimates in a deadlineFACT driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy parçalar
