About the Role At Five Star Breaktime Solutions, the Retail Team Manager will be responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction by maintaining customer relationships, resolving issues, and supervising Route Team Leaders and Retail Route Merchandisers to guarantee effective and efficient operations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage retail vending and market route operations for assigned client locations.
Responsible for all interviewing, hiring, and training & development of retail employees as well as planning and assigning responsibilities to Merchandisers.
Manage time off of Merchandisers to ensure efficiency of operation for service obligations.
Address and resolve customer complaints per company guidelines.
Responsible for execution and compliance of all planograms, promotions, new and conversion market installations.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Business client visitations to maintain good relations and respond to customer needs with urgency and professionalism.
Support sales activities including client presentations, grand openings, trade shows, proforma development, and retail space design.
Coordinate/execute retail installations, merchandising, and promotional activities in new and existing accounts; perform inspections and inventory audits.
Review financial reports daily/weekly to ensure client satisfaction, data integrity, reduce spoilage rates, and manage costs.
Maintain retail operating system according to program standards and determine proper replenishment and inventory levels.
Review service frequencies to assure maximum sales and adjust service structure for productivity.
Collaborate with other Retail Team Managers to ensure route efficiency and share resources.
Perform duties of merchandise specialists and warehouse personnel as needed.
Conduct regular meetings with service and attendant personnel and coordinate staff meetings.
Ensure proper handling of perishable foods, inventory controls, and analyze financial reports to increase revenue.
Ensure a safe working environment and communicate safety policies; secure and maintain vehicles; oversee building maintenance.
Report to Senior Management any information beneficial to account retention or actions that may jeopardize business.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college or equivalent education/experience.
Strong written and oral communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.
Problem‑solving skills and the ability to handle multiple variables in limited situations.
Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Email.
General Requirements
Ability to lift 50 lbs+ and perform repetitive lifting, reaching, bending, stooping.
Must be 21 years old (DOT) and have a valid driver’s license.
Consent to pre‑employment background check and drug screen.
Follow workplace safety policies and guidelines.
