Ensure appropriate care and services are available to patients and families; facilitate interdisciplinary collaboration and patient care planning. Maintain adequate clinical staffing and skill mix; supervise nursing staff, health unit coordinators, nursing assistants, and utility aides. Manage human resources, recruitment, retention, hiring, promotion, and performance feedback; integrate evidence‑based practices into retention strategies. Control budget: use clinical and financial data to meet budgetary goals, increase revenue, and manage personnel, supplies, and equipment cost‑effectively. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory standards (state, JCAHO, Board of Nursing, accrediting bodies) and integrate scientific evidence into standards of practice. Lead and participate in quality improvement initiatives focused on patient safety and quality of care. Develop an educational environment for staff continuing education and orientation of new staff; conduct annual competency evaluations. Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) from a state‑accredited school of professional nursing. Licensure and Certification Requirements
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. BLS required. Experience Requirements
Two (2) years of professional nursing experience in a tertiary care setting and one (1) year of experience in the assigned area. Job Details
