The Work

Lead end‑to‑end strategic consulting engagements across Energy Retail and Customer Service, driving digital transformation, customer experience modernization, and operational efficiency initiatives from strategy through implementation.

Serve as a primary point of contact for senior client stakeholders, establishing trusted advisor relationships, aligning solutions to business objectives, and ensuring executive‑level engagement throughout the engagement lifecycle.

Define, develop, and execute transformation roadmaps that improve customer outcomes, enhance revenue growth, optimise cost structures, and enable customer‑centric operating models.

Own delivery excellence across multiple workstreams by managing project teams, setting clear direction, ensuring quality standards, meeting timelines and budgets, and proactively managing risks and dependencies.

Support business development efforts by identifying and qualifying opportunities, shaping client conversations, developing proposals, and supporting sales pursuits aligned to Accenture’s Utilities ERCS growth strategy.

Contribute to and shape thought leadership by staying current on industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies impacting energy retail, customer operations, and digital platforms.

Here’s What You Need

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the Utilities industry, with a strong focus on Customer Service, Energy Retail, and Customer Transformation project delivery.

Minimum of 3 years of hands‑on experience with enterprise platforms such as SAP or Oracle, including leading or managing system‑enabled business transformations.

Deep expertise in Meter‑to‑Cash operations, customer operations, billing, collections, and associated technologies.

Proven leadership in large‑scale Customer Transformation initiatives and technology implementations, including CIS replacements or major platform modernisations.

Demonstrated experience managing consulting engagements, including scope definition, workplan development, resourcing, risk management, and executive reporting.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.

Willingness to travel as required.

Bonus Points

3+ years of experience in an advisory or consulting role, delivering business transformation in a client‑facing environment.

Leadership of multi‑workstream programs involving customer operations, digital channels, and enterprise platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle).

Professional Skill Requirements

You confidently lead clients and teams through change, ambiguity, and complex transformation, balancing strategic direction with hands‑on execution.

You build trusted advisor relationships and partner with clients to design and re‑engineer business processes, lead design‑thinking and executive workshops, develop business cases and transformation roadmaps, deliver agile and hybrid delivery programmes, define new operating models and customer engagement strategies, lead change management, talent enablement, and adoption, and co‑create reusable intellectual property and industry‑leading solutions.

Compensation Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.

California: $94,400 to $293,800

Cleveland (Ohio): $87,400 to $235,000

Colorado: $94,400 to $253,800

District of Columbia: $100,500 to $270,300

Illinois: $87,400 to $253,800

Maryland: $94,400 to $253,800

Massachusetts: $94,400 to $270,300

Minnesota: $94,400 to $253,800

New York/New Jersey: $87,400 to $293,800

Washington: $100,500 to $270,300
