Sun Country Airlines is seeking an Ops Travel Coordinator who plays a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and cost‑effective travel logistics of crewmembers and maintenance technicians. This position is responsible for day‑to‑day booking, auditing, and oversight of travel arrangements, including hotels, ground transportation, and deadhead flights. The Ops Travel Coordinator is the central point of contact, ensuring operational integrity by managing immediate travel requirements and proactive planning for future travel needs.

Coordinators are responsible for prioritizing tasks to provide timely and accurate support and deliver exceptional customer service in a fast‑paced operations environment.

Ops Travel Coordinators provide real‑time support to crewmembers for resolving travel‑related issues such as hotel check‑ins, last‑minute schedule changes, ground transportation delays, and unexpected operational disruptions.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

Book current and future hotel, ground transportation, and deadhead flights for crewmembers and maintenance technicians in accordance with labor agreements, company requirements, and policies.

Provide real‑time support for travel disruptions, including but not limited to hotel check‑in issues, ground transportation delays, flight delays, and last‑minute changes.

Audit and fulfill daily travel needs, booking, updating, and confirming reservations through phone, email, and electronic systems.

Serve as the primary liaison with contracted vendors while managing travel requirements to ensure contracted performance standards are met.

Audit travel processes, identifying opportunities for improved efficiency, cost savings, and enhanced service delivery.

Maintain a high level of knowledge regarding union agreements and company policies pertaining to ops travel requirements.

Ensure all travel arrangements comply with internal policies, labor agreements, and operational requirements.

Perform other duties as assigned by management to support department and company goals.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent, required.

Minimum one year aviation operations experience preferred.

Previous experience in travel planning or customer service.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple travel arrangements simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications

Committed to meeting the needs of crewmembers and maintenance technicians with professionalism, urgency, and attention to detail.

Maintains composure while managing real‑time travel issues during irregular operations or disruptions.

Builds strong partnerships with Crew Scheduling, Charters, SOC, internal teams, external vendors, and leadership to ensure seamless travel operations.

Understands how crew travel impacts the broader flight schedule and company operations.

Identifies opportunities for efficiency and savings.

Compensation Pay $18.50 USD per hour. This is the base compensation for this role.
