Application must be completed in full.*****Position Summary:**Provides IT leadership and support to any specific business partner of Information Technology Division. Ensures continued availability to Port infrastructure through IT services and resources. Provides technical guidance to current and new operation's technology initiatives, as well as management of IT projects as it related to IT services for the assigned business area.**Responsibilities/Duties:*** Ensure that IT services and resources are highly available and properly disseminated throughout the business area supported* Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with IT and portwide business needs* Manage the timely delivery of high-quality technical support services to employees, contractors, and support staff at Port Houston’s facilities* Engage internal and external customers on daily operations as it relates to Information Technology and support the efforts and projects that need Information Technology to achieve desired results* Build and maintain vendor relationships in an effort to provide support for existing infrastructure and provide innovative ideas to current business environment* Create and provide recommendations/proposals for technology updates and refreshes* Establish trust good working relationship between IT Management and IT staff and within the team; provide opportunities that enhances current skills while challenging individuals to learn something different including soft skills* Manage current IT projects deliverables and timelines* Provide regular updates and status on specific projects and initiatives as specified or requested* Manage issue/request processes, including escalation as necessary, to ensure timely completion of end-user issues and/or requests* Manage process for communicating scheduled and emergency outage activities to leadership and the end-user community* Determine root cause of issues and communicate appropriately to internal and external customers via the appropriate standard IT processes and procedures in a timely fashion* Work with the designated business and IT stakeholders to evaluate technology solutions beneficial to Port Houston* Develop project plans, expectations, and associated documentation and communicate to all team members and stakeholders* Plan, schedule, and track project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, including the management of assigned resources, to ensure the project requirements are met* Develop regular progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations, IT Department leadership current on projects, tasks and activities* Act as the liaison between the business and IT* Act in accordance with Port Houston core values (respect, excellence, accountability, diligence, and you)* Perform other duties as required**Education/Experience:*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related major from a public or accredited private academic institution required; additional years’ experience can be substituted in lieu of a undergraduate degree* 5+ years of related information technology experience required* Previous supervisory experience required**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Knowledge of underlying technology* Customer service skills* Understanding of IT Process skills (ITIL)* Attention to details and effective organizational skills* Strong decision-making, problem-solving and analytical skills* Effective communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of employees,
