About The Opportunity
This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. The Supply Chain Analyst is part of the Contract Review Team (CRT) in Supply Chain Support Services. It involves reviewing, approving, and negotiating contract terms and conditions with FirstEnergy Corp.'s vendors to meet Supply Chain process and Business Unit deadlines. This position works closely with FirstEnergy Buyers, Legal and Management. It is onsite and located in either Akron, OH or Greensburg, PA and reports to the Manager, Supply Chain Support. Responsibilities Include
Independently review Terms & Conditions, analyze legal and business risks, and make recommendations to FirstEnergy Legal or Management on acceptance or proposed changes within established guidelines. Review and recommend concerning the use of previously approved non-standard Terms & Conditions for proposed procurements. Assist Supply Chain Buyers in determining the appropriate set of FirstEnergy Corp.'s standard Terms & Conditions templates for proposed procurements. Negotiate Terms & Conditions for the procurement of materials and services with Supply Chain Buyers, Business Units, Legal, Risk, Audit, Tax and vendors to meet deadlines. Conduct periodic audits of Supply Chain Buyers to ensure adherence to Supply Chain Procedures. Monitor and report contract metrics. Qualifications Include
Bachelor's degree in Paralegal Studies, Purchasing, Business, Engineering, or related discipline required. Juris Doctorate a plus. Minimum 4 years relevant work experience, including contract review or negotiation experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Ability to deliver quality, accurate work within established deadlines. Detail oriented, conscientious. Excellent analytical skills, including problem solving and decision making.
