Territory Manager, Medical Dermatology - Washington, DC
Objective: The Sun Medical Dermatology Territory Manager is responsible for promoting Sun’s branded dermatology portfolio and optimizing the business opportunities in targeted physician offices, key clinics and institutions that specialize in the area of medical dermatology. The Territory Manager will be required to demonstrate excellence in developing and implementing territory business plans that lead to achievement of sales goals and objectives. Responsibilities include coordination and integration with the HQ Commercial Team (Marketing, etc.) and field based employees (Field Reimbursement Managers, etc.) to effectively drive acceptance of promoted products within a designated business area and geography.
Required
Bachelor Degree
Pharmaceutical and/or Medical Device sales experience
Strong communication skills and business acumen
Ability to collaborate, innovate, adapt and deliver results
Valid driver’s license
Preferred
5+ years pharmaceutical sales experience
3+ years medical dermatology sales experience
Experience selling products in a complex Market Access environment
Experience promoting high‑science products
Product launch experience
Experience selling in a highly competitive environment
Personal Skills/Attributes This individual must have a positive attitude and be adaptable to a dynamic environment while maintaining focus on achieving territory business goals. This individual should be highly motivated and highly professional. Capable of building trust with their matrix team and transparent, ethical and compliant in all their activities. They should be proficient at selling and presenting detailed scientific subject matter in a clear and understandable fashion.
General Responsibilities / Decision Making Authority
Reports directly to the Regional Sales Manager
Responsible for the understanding and leveraging CRM, sales data, and reports
Responsible for timely call reporting and expense reporting
Responsible for managing promotional budgets within their territory
Responsible for meeting monthly, quarterly and annual sales goals
SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Reports to Regional Sales Manager
The presently‑anticipated base compensation pay range for this position is $94k to $136k. Actual base compensation may vary based on a number of factors, including but not limited to geographical location and experience. In addition, this position is part of an IC Commission Plan. Employees are eligible to participate in Company employee benefit programs which include medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; disability insurance; 401(k) savings plan; flexible spending accounts; and the employee assistance program. Employees also receive various paid time off benefits, including vacation time and sick time.
