The SAP Functional Solution Architect – MM & Logistics Execution (LE) is responsible for designing and delivering end-to-end SAP S/4HANA solutions supporting Material Management and logistics processes.
This role requires deep functional expertise, strong cross-module integration knowledge, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable SAP solutions aligned with global templates and best practices.
The position works closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and technical teams to ensure high-quality solution delivery across the SAP landscape.
Key Responsibilities
Lead solution design for SAP S/4HANA MM and Logistics Execution processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and global standards.
Engage with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into clear functional and solution design documentation.
Design and define end-to-end process flows covering procurement, inventory management, warehouse operations, and transportation.
Ensure seamless integration with related SAP modules, including SD, PP, EWM, TM, and Finance.
Provide functional leadership and guidance on SAP best practices, innovations, and industry standards.
Support fit-gap analysis, solution blueprint development, and system configuration activities.
Define and oversee data migration strategies for MM and logistics-related master and transactional data.
Collaborate with technical teams on custom developments, enhancements, interfaces, and integrations.
Drive testing strategy and execution, including unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on SAP roadmap planning and future solution enhancements.
Required Qualifications
15+ years of SAP functional experience with at least three full lifecycle implementations in MM and logistics-related processes.
Strong hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA and a solid understanding of SAP Activate methodology.
Deep functional knowledge of Procure-to-Pay, Inventory Management, Inbound and Outbound Logistics, and Transportation processes.
Proven experience designing and delivering complex, integrated SAP solutions in large or global environments.
Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.
Ability to lead workshops, facilitate discussions, and drive alignment across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience integrating MM and Logistics with Advanced ATP, Extended Warehouse Management (EWM), and Transportation Management (TM).
Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications, SAP Best Practices, and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP).
Experience supporting global template design and rollout initiatives.
Exposure to regulated industries such as pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a complex delivery landscape.
