Mental Health Counselor 'autres Inova Kellar Center Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Mental Health Counselor to join the team. This role will be PRN, and hours may vary (M-F 8:30-2pm or Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 3:00pm-6:30pm)

Mental Health Counselor Job Responsibilities
Engages in activities integral to the continued development and success at our sites of care across Inova Health System.
Provides assessment, planning, treatment, intervention, and evaluation to patients with psychiatric disorders.
Provides crisis intervention and behavior management services. Provides daily check-ins and various group counseling Chanel interventions.
Provides day to day documentation and counseling services Likely for the behavioral health patients.
Overse: individuals receiving services and provides behavioral, non-instructive support and psychoeducational programming to the patient population.
Maintains medical record documentation in compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) standards and Inova policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in higher education, psychology, social work, special education, mental health discipline, or related field.
Certification:
Basic Life Support within 3 months minimum. Crisis Prevention Institute. CPI in-person training for non‑violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire.
