Base Pay Range $55,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Responsibilities The Curtain Wall CAD Drafter is responsible for producing detailed shop drawings for curtainwall and storefront systems, ensuring precision in design and structural coordination. Key duties include developing floor plans, elevations, and fabrication drawings while maintaining compliance with architectural and structural specifications.
This role involves collaborating with engineers, project managers, and production teams throughout the project life cycle. The Curtain Wall CAD Drafter will also assist in creating and maintaining BIM models and product literature. We are preferably looking for candidates with experience in unitized curtainwall systems. This position requires strong proficiency in AutoCAD, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret architectural and structural plans accurately.
Requirements
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Have worked for a Glazing Contractor or Curtain Wall Manufacturer
Ability to read architectural and structural plans
Experience in curtainwall design
Familiarity with Revit and Inventor (a plus)
Basic skills in Microsoft Word and Excel
Understanding of standard drafting practices
Strong communication and follow-through skills
Must reside in the Chicago Metropolitan area
Job Description
