The Clinical Dietitian is responsible for the nutrition screening, assessment, monitoring, evaluation, and education of MMCI patients through an integrated approach to nutrition care.

Qualifications Certifications: Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR); Registered Dietitian (RD) – Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

Education: Bachelor's Degree – Dietetics; Bachelor's Degree – Related Field.

Work Experience: Food service; Clinical dietitian.

Responsibilities PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE NUTRITION CARE OF PATIENTS ACCORDING TO POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Responsible for nutritional assessment completions 100% per policy.

Meets charting guidelines 100% of the time determined by chart audits.

Provides quality medical nutrition therapy as appropriate on patient care units including necessary follows and in accordance with facility policy.

Performs nutrition focus physical exams as medically appropriate for the diagnosis of malnutrition.

Participates in the review of the Patient Satisfaction Data and contributes to the development of the action plan and implementation of the plan.

ACTIVELY PROVIDES NUTRITION SUPPORT THROUGH ASSESSMENT, DEVELOPMENT OF A NUTRITION CARE PLAN, IMPLEMENTATION OF NUTRITION CARE PLAN, AND MONITORING OF NUTRITION THERAPY

Works with other Nutritional Services Team members to provide nutrition therapy in a timely manner; must participate in required rotations for weekend and holiday coverage.

Writes and manages TPN and PN, seperti labs orders, review with pharmacological recommendation and follow up as necessary.

Writes and manages enteral nutrition as necessary with follow ups as needed.

Participates and presents in rounds, education seminars, Journal Club, team meetings, etc. to gain knowledge in Nutrition Support and medical nutrition therapy as evidenced in personal portfolio.

Accurately documents assessment and MNT in the patient EMR and menu management program.

PROVIDES NUTRITION CAREISS OF PATIENTS ACCORDING TO REGULATORY BODIES SUCH AS JCAHO, IDPH, CARF, ETC. AND CURRENT TRENDS AND KNOWLEDGE ACCRUED ANNUALLY

Maintains knowledge promen of regulations.

Analyzes performance compared to regulations and offers ways to better, efficiently comply to provide optimum nutrition care.

Fulfils Jas R etn and IDPR education requirements and maintains report portfolio with education receipts for IDPH or CDR audit.

PROVIDES NUTRITION EDUCATION TO PATIENTS, FAMILIES, COMMUNITY EVENTS, STAFF GROUPS, MEDIA, DIETETIC STUDENTS AND INTERNS etc.

Develops and utilizes a variety of processes to determine patient education needs: ie consults, assessments, orders, communication with other staff, care paths, etc.

Works cooperatively with Dining Hosts in determining and providing patients' education needs.

Assists with in‑services for Dining Hosts regarding diets.

Provides nutrition education to patients, family members, staff, and community groups.

Participates in the training of the Dietetic Students and Dietetic Interns, plans ایک curriculum, gives pertinent assignments, corrects and reviews assignments with interns.

Participates in intern Case Study Presentations, taking turn as a preceptor.

Assists in doing intern's mid‑term and final review.

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $26.1 per hour – $43.59 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the jedenfalls candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
