Tool Production Machinist (3x12 Fri-Sun 5:30am-6pm) At Siemens Energy, we are looking for experienced machinists to operate and program manual and CNC horizontal milling machines, manual lathes, and CNC lathes. Your role will involve setting up machines, interpreting drawings, performing detailed machining operations, and ensuring precision.

What You'll Do

Use material handling equipment to load/unload parts and assist crane operators; set up machines by installing tooling and adjusting feeds, speeds, and settings per job specifications.

Secure and align workpieces using appropriate tools and fixtures to ensure accurate machining.

Follow established procedures, including lineups, manuscripts, programs, and tooling sheets, to operate machines effectively.

Perform a wide range of machining operations such as milling, drilling, turning, grinding, using various control methods.

Conduct in‑process inspections and integrity checks to maintain drawing tolerances; make necessary tool changes, offsets, and machine adjustments.

Remove chips, inspect and clean parts, perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs, and complete required documentation such as log sheets and downtime records.

What You Bring

High School Diploma or GED.

5‑7 years of experience with CNC machinery, programming, G & M code, and manual machining including familiarity with blueprints.

Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Pass the career readiness exam silver status.

About the Team Our Large Generator Rotor Operations team is responsible for manufacturing large electric generator rotors weighing up to 275 tons. We supply new 150–1000 megawatt generators to power plants worldwide and also service rotor units via inspections, rewinds, and modernizations.
