Overview As a nurse at Devereux Pennsylvania Children’s Services, you will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need.

We are seeking PRN Registered Nurses (CAA shifts) for our Children’s Psychiatric Inpatient Hospital in Malvern, PA.

Compensation

PRN Pay: $44 per hour

Work requirement: 4 shifts per month (12‑hour each)themes 1 summer & 1 winter holiday

2 shifts must be on the weekend (7 am Fri – 7 am Mon)

Paid license renewal CEUs as part of our continuing education program

Paid training and professional development (ASCEND – Career Accelerator Program)

Responsibilities

Perform direct nursing care in the Children’s Behavioral Health Center

Administer medication, take doctor’s orders, and provide education and coping skills to patients

Teach patients about sex education, suicidal behaviors, symptom management, self‑control, etc.

Create initial care plans and discharge plans

Work with patients with autism spectrum disorders, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral, emotional and psychiatric challenges

Qualifications Education:

Graduate of an approved school of professional nursing with a B.S.N., diploma, or A.D., and currently licensed to practice nursing in Pennsylvania.

Experience:

One year of post‑education nursing experience preferred; experience with individuals with cognitive, Television, or medically complex conditions.

Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office applications, and experience using data‑collection/analyzing platforms such as Radar or Pro‑Filer.

Strong organizational and communication skills, ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adhere to established guidelines. Valid driver’s license required.
