Major Gifts Officer
for a direct‑hire opportunity with a regional human services non‑profit that provides supportive services and programming throughout SE Wisconsin. This role isχυ pivotal in cultivating and securing philanthropic support to advance the organization’s mission and programs in mental health, workforce solutions, family well‑being, and other supportive services. The ideal candidate will be strategic, experienced in networking within the Greater Milwaukee philanthropic community, and able to create impactful results. Position Overview
Develop and Manage Donor Relationships : Build and maintain a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, fostering strong, lasting connections. Strategic Engagement : Partner with leadership and team members to design personalized outreach strategies and communications that resonate with donor priorities. Advance Fundraising Initiatives : Drive ambitious fundraising objectives to support core programs and special campaigns aligned with the organization’s mission. Expand————Impact : Grow the influence of major gifts and individual contributions, ensuring meaningful support for mental health, workforce development, family services, and other community programs. Oversee Capital Improvement Initiatives : Ensure all objectives and benchmarks are successfully achieved. Manage Donor Portfolio: Oversee and maintain a robust list of major gift prospects and current donors. Engage & Cultivate Relationships: Initiate and conduct meetings and calls to uncover donor interests and assess potential for significant contributions. Support Giving Societies: Build strong connections with giving society members through personalized engagement plans and recognition efforts. Qualify Prospects: Analyze donor capacity and readiness to determine suitability for major gift opportunities. Deliver Stewardship Programs: Execute strategies to keep donors informed and appreciated, including impact reporting, special events, and meaningful touchpoints. Lead Gift Solicitations: Develop and present customized proposals that align donor priorities with organizational goals to secure major gifts. Requirements
Minimum 3 years of professional fundraising experience with Narrative donors, foundations, and corporations. Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and automobile insurance (typically local travel up to 30%). Full‑time, flex‑schedule for events and meetings outside regular business hours. Skills & Knowledge
CRM experience and adaptability to learn various technologies. Proficiency in donor engagement and move management. Knowledge of Greater Milwaukee philanthropic community. What Our Client Offers
