Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton LLP . Kilpatrick, a large international law firm, is seeking a Business Development Manager to support our Trademark and Copyright Team and Firm marketing initiatives. This position will be based in our Atlanta, New York, Raleigh, Winston‑Salem, Washington DC, Los Angeles or San Francisco office and will be part of our team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff providing a high level of service to both internal and external clients.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute client events, including the annual trademark seminar and key client appreciation events.
Develop strategy related to rankings and recognition (Chambers, Best Lawyers, Legal 500, MIP and similar publications) and submit nominations annually.
Develop and maintain client development / go‑to‑market materials.
Serve as primary point of contact for RFP responses and firmwide responses incorporating trademark and copyright capabilities.
Assist with annual business plan development for Trademark and Copyright Team and individual partners.
Assist with onboarding of lateral partners and other attorneys.
Develop annual budgets for the Trademark and Copyright Team.
Act as primary point of contact for Client Attorney Team (CAT) clients providing significant trademark and copyright services.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
Preferred: Advanced degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, law firm strongly preferred.
General familiarity with IP law and trademark and copyright law a plus but not required.
Demonstrated ability to work in a team, pulling together firm resources across service lines.
Detail‑oriented planner with ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines with flexibility.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently.
Willingness to gain in‑depth working knowledge of legal industry and align Team’s services, value propositions and unique characteristics through continuous learning.
Strong computer skills, including advanced knowledge of MS Office, CRM systems, document management systems, etc.
High degree of emotional intelligence and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.
Occasional travel may be required.
Compensation and Benefits:
Full‑time, regular position with a multi‑faceted health benefit package including medical, dental, and vision.

Hybrid work schedule combining in‑office work days as well as remote work days.
Annual salary ranges: Atlanta only: $115,000 to $163,900.
Raleigh and Winston‑Salem only: $115,000 to $155,600.
New York, Washington DC, Los Angeles and San Francisco only: $140,000 to $185,000.
