Role Overview The client is seeking an
Operations Analyst
to support day-to-day production accounting, revenue, and invoicing operations during a major transition and growth period.
This role works closely with a Senior Operations Analyst and supports accurate production volumes, pricing, billing, and revenue recognition across operated and non-operated assets. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and comfortable working at the intersection of field data, production systems, and accounting in a fast-moving, small-team environment.
Key Responsibilities Production Accounting & Revenue Support
Maintain and reconcile daily and monthly oil, gas, and water production volumes
Support revenue invoicing, pricing validation, and billing accuracy
Track and resolve production, pricing, and billing discrepancies
Assist with month-end close activities, accruals, and revenue cut-off processes
Support royalty, WI/NRI, and ownership-related inquiries as appropriate
Support audit, partner, and investor data requests as needed
Production Allocation & Systems
Ensure production is accurately allocated to the correct wells, leases, and assets
Review and validate production data from field data capture systems
Maintain production data within ProCount or similar production systems
Investigate and resolve allocation discrepancies related to well tests, vessel changes, or asset ownership
Coordinate with field operations, marketing, and accounting on volume and pricing issues
Review and manage vendor invoices through OpenInvoice
Validate cost centers, well associations, and billed amounts
Communicate directly with vendors to resolve billing discrepancies
Review midstream statements and reconcile component analysis where necessary
Maintain production, revenue, and invoice support schedules
General Operations Support
Support process improvement, controls, and data accuracy as the company scales
Assist where needed in a collaborative, all-hands-on-deck environment
Systems & Tools
ProCount (Quorum On Demand Production experience is highly transferable)
Field data capture systems (eVIN, Quorum FDC, or similar)
Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications
2+ years of experience in production accounting, revenue accounting, or production operations within oil & gas
Familiarity with Permian Basin operations and purchaser statements
Experience with production systems and invoicing platforms (ProCount, Quorum, OpenInvoice)
Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail
High level of integrity, professionalism, and people skills
Ability to work independently in a lean, fast-moving organization and support team needs as they arise
Formal accounting or engineering degrees are
not required . Practical experience, aptitude, and strong judgment are highly valued.
