About the Opportunity This is an 全天(open) position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE). The Supervisor will administer and oversee the Project Managers in the FE Transmission Project Management department and will report to the Manager of Transmission Project Management. The position may be based in Akron, Reading, Greensburg, Morristown, Holmdel, or Morgantown.

Responsibilities

Ensure a complete team commitment to safety in all work areas.

Ensure a complete team commitment to environmental compliance.

Supervise a staff of Project Managers (internal and external) and provide leadership that results in successful projects aligned with FET and FE goals.

Direct daily activities of project managers and technical personnel.

Develop staff and participate in setting departmental goals and direction.

Promote a positive work atmosphere that supports individual development within FirstEnergy’s Rules of Engagement and Code of Ethics.

Monitor employee satisfaction and manage performance and development.

Enforce adherence to applicable policies and practices, including the Manual of Operations, FE Construction Standards and the Accident Prevention Handbook.

Communicate department and project goals to regional and corporate leadership.

Conduct periodic project status meetings with corporate and regional personnel.

Ensure project challenge meetings, peer reviews, and variance analysis meetings are performed.

Collaborate with Portfolio Management to develop and update the 5‑year work plan.

Work with Supply Chain to secure external resources as needed throughout the year.

Collaborate with Construction Management to secure necessary construction oversight resources.

Collaborate with controls and financial oversight groups to minimize financial risks associated with projects.

Develop and maintain reasonable project schedules.

Review, document, and retain change requests as needed.

Escalate project issues and risks.

Identify new, creative ways to mobilize teams on projects.

Seek opportunities to increase customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.

Notify the Transmission Leadership Team of additional resources or requirements needed to meet project scope or schedule.

Participate in the FirstEnergy storm process as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business, Engineering, Finance, Construction Management or related备用网址. Consideration will be given to applicants with extensive multi‑disciplined background in lieu of a college degree.

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project organization with background in engineering, finance, project management, construction, or project controls.

Knowledge of project management concepts and processes.

Experience with project–management tools such as Primavera or MS Project is a plus.

Detailed Project Controls experience is a definite plus.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and strong analytical ability.

Team player willing to work in a collaborative environment.

Highly motivated, enthusiastic leader capable of motivating and driving positive workforce change and process improvement.

Active thinker who positively challenges others and demonstrates mental flexibility.

Strong decision‑making skills and sound judgment.

Compensation FirstEnergy takes a market‑based approach to pay. The estimated base salary ranges from $118,150 to $166,800. Locations in New Jersey receive a 20% cost‑of‑living differential, raising the range to $141,780–$200,160.
